Guarana.org et al are now running on even faster ADSL2+, currently getting speeds of 5893/913. I've got it running on the fastest (and therefore theoretically least stable) setting, so if we get too many connection drops, I'll reign it back a bit. Enjoy the speed!

Happy new year! Guarana.org et al have moved into their new home in sunnier Fraser. We're now on a 1500/256 connection, so stuff should go faster. We also have a 20Gig/month (download) quota, so, you know, don't go emailing me 10Gig files and stuff. That's all.

Our (the ACT's) Chief Minister has had the courtesy to supply us with a draft copy of the "anti-terror" legislation, which the federal government doesn't want you to see. Never mind that it was drafted at our expense by our elected representatives, allegedly to protect us. It's better if you don't see it, or know what powers it gives them. They'll be good, and not abuse them - they promised! However, just in case you would like to see it, there's a locally hosted copy here. Make up your own mind - don't let them do it for you.

So we had a slight outage here - our phone line went down on Friday. Turns out that, for technical reasons, Friday evening is considered Monday morning as far as Telstra is concerned. To their credit, by about midday today they'd plugged the cable back in at the exchange and we were back up. All mail looks to have queued on the secondary MX and all should be well.

Guarana.org et al have moved into their new home in sunny Gungahlin. There are some minor speed issues at present, but the connection seems solid enough.
